Investigation did not really go beyond the "why did they crash" and didn't look at why we're doing VRS in the aircraft rather than the sim (not permitted in the aircraft in CAT recurrent training in EASA/CAA (ORO.FC.230)), why the IP didn't intervene on the first sortie and what training on VRS the IP or student had had before. It also focuses a lot on the Vuichard recovery technique when that's patently not what they were doing (nor the technique used on the first sortie).
