He seemed to have authentic I.d. but it was immediately obvious from it that he was trying to get me to sign up to support a unit that wasn’t our local one at all. I pointed out he was in the wrong county! He asked me why I was saying that and I pointed out that I was in the industry and worked from the same airfield as the unit he was collecting for. I also told him that “my local” air ambulance was about sixty miles from the one he was representing, that a friend was chief pilot of that unit and we already supported that one.

The chap got quite defensive and grumpy; needless to say he didn’t get my bank details.
Although the situation is, in many respects, quite different in Scotland, there is fund-raising to pay for operating Helimed 76 and 79 even though they operate as part of the SAS Air Wing fleet. It does grind my gears a bit around here when they try to collect for "your local air ambulance" that is 100 miles away when there is a NHS-provided one 7 miles along the road.

Interesting also on Companies House website for HELI SERVICE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (12820744)
Registered office address changed from Pegasus House 463a Glossop Road Sheffield S10 2QD United Kingdom to C/O Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Hems Way, Off Sleaford Road Bracebridge Heath Lincoln LN5 2GW on 22 April 2021.
lived in Sheffield for a few years so know that location. Main occupant of that address was an accounting firm. Not national or international, but local. Wonder if this is related to the old Sheffield guard of TAMS or Dragon?

Applying as I understand it. Also they don’t hold an NVIS approval according to their website https://www.heliservice.de/en/helise...s-and-permits/ . Do they have any NVIS experience in their team?

That is very likely with a UK AOC.

Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance just tweeted about the arrival of their second helicopter, A109 G-RSCU (owned by Sloane according to GINFO). The aircraft will cover the Lincolnshire coast until 31st August.

I believe this is only surge capacity to cater for the greater number of people holidaying in the UK (staycations).
SAS still operate an AW169 for LNAACT until HeliService take over later in the year. However, for whatever reason SAS do not seem to provide the additional helicopter.

G-LNCC arrived a couple of nights ago - can't post link to their Twitter post, but they put a couple pictures of it up the other night.
G-RSCU is still operating, but has been doing so from the main base for the last few weeks rather than over at Strubby.
