US Army Pilots Sue Sikorsky Following Crash

Two US Army Pilots have filed a Civil Action against Sikorsky Helicopters following the Crash of their Blackhawk that resulted from the loss of a Tail Rotor Gearbox.

The two were very seriously injured and their Crew Chief was killed in the crash that occurred as they were making a precautionary landing after an unusual vibration began during a routine formation training flight.

As they were routing to a nearby airport the Tail Rotor gearbox separated from the Tail Boom and the Pilots were unable to control the aircraft.
