My wife at the time worked in the office of another company---this company had an accident killing 6 people and would still tell tourists they had a 100% safety record----most people never even check. Headlines of a forced landing could be down to anything ranging from a prudent landing following a main transmission chip to running out of fuel. Rarely do the media let the facts spoil a good story, media berated an air force because a number of fighter bombers on a ferry flight refused to take off in the middle of a thunderstorm. Pussies or prudent? Safe or unsafe? How does a layperson judge? Decades ago there was a report of a four engined Cessna crashing with the loss of some forty lives. While Cessna did build a four engined aircraft it was a Twin Otter with some twenty on board. Trust google at your peril.
