.

Sad news. His helicopter design has a good safety record .
(Rumor of a wirestrike) so I went on Google earth and found there is a single wire crosses the river in that area , and the poles are hard to see among the trees.

Having airsprayed in Alberta I can say there are wires everywhere. Sometimes you will find a powerline running diagonally across a field where you would not expect it. You really have to drive around the area to be sprayed before you start flying.
