Restricted Airspace (Orange Faced Baby)
I'm flying over the next days and have been watching the London area NOTAMs and Restricted Airspace for the Trump visit.
Anyone else notice the appropriate shape as partially overlaid on the Heathrow CTR. Seems NATS does have a sense of humour.

TDS must be infectious.
The title of the thread should earn it a quick shift to a Jet Blast.
A discussion on airspace would be fine.....but that sure wasn’t the intent was it?

No matter what your opinion of Mr Trump; he is the leader of the most powerful and influential country.
He was elected in a democratic process.
The London Mayor has made a huge error of judgement here by approving the ‘floating baby’ stunt.
i wonder if he would have approved it if it portrayed Osama Bin Laden?

I have met Mr Trump. 2 years before he was elected. I spent a couple of hours with him. He was sharp, witty and engaging and definitely a natural borne leader. British people are supposed to have that extra dimension to them. Manners. This stunt does nothing for the reputation of Britain and actually disrespects the democratic process and all the American people who voted for him. In essence, Mr Trump has tried to fix his own economy and protect his own people. A lot of fake news and some twisted logic have portrayed him in the worst possible light.
There you go... a rare rant from me these days. Give the guy a chance. Even if he has humped my China shares with a trade war!

Absolutely spot on and President Trump is absolutely right 'Britain is in turmoil' - the sooner we get a chance to take it back from the bunch of left wing liberalists that have evolved from every political party over the last 25 years - the better.
How grownups swiftly devolve into children when modern politics is mentioned.
The orange hairpiece has supporters and he has detractors, live with it, that's what democracy is supposed to be and no one is ever going to agree about this.
In a few years there will be another reality TV star in power and the former most powerful country in the world will be in the same mess it always was.
Now let's get back to impractical machines that have spinning bits on the top, it's far more interesting and relevant.

On the airspace;
There is a Met Police number associated with it where clarification of vetting procedures should be obtainable. It just rings out. Well done Inspector Vince Brady of the Met Police, your name, phone number and e-mail are on the NOTAM so that help can be given, but for businesses affected you don't answer, and e-mails bounce. Great, its nearly as bad as the Olympic Airspace.
And I've met and flown Trump quite a few times, I'll keep my opinions to myself as nanny always said "if you can't say anything good about a person, say nothing at all about them."

Respect must be earned; it is not automatic. Considering everything Trump is, has done and plans to do, it would have been a poor reflection on us if we had doffed their caps and tugged their forelocks. The Queen has to, May is yet another 'special relationship' poodle, but the English public are free to tell him what they think, and good on them for doing so.
The Queen is shown respect by the America Public despite her Birth Order determined her position as Titular Head of the British Government.....should not the same respect be shown the American Head of State?
What gets the British and European Trump basher's is Trump does not appease and apologize as did his predecessor.
It chaps your hind cheeks to hear the truth.
But as you rightly say.....you are free to hate the Man....but you are obliged to respect the Office he holds as the elected President of the United States.
Trump is the Leader of the most powerful Nation in this World of ours.....and a former Colony of Great Britain that freed itself from your Rule....by force of arms and the Will of its People.
Deal with it,!
What say we stick to Aviation matters and leave this political crap for Jet Blast!
SENIOR PILOT.... PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD OR SHIFT IT TO JET BLAST WHERE IT BELONGS!

You have to admire the sheer Britishness of flying that blimp over parliament.
Crowd-funded, paperwork done, a humourous blimp. Can you get more democratic than that?
Being half brit I have always enjoyed the sense of humour and how the nation approaches politics with satire, going back to the spitting image days and beyond.
Comedy is the best form of protest.
Whatever your politics, you have to admire the approach.
Good on them

Like I said earlier, it’s sad that people concentrate on the rag news items and are so quick to condemn the man without ever meeting him. I don’t like his trade war cos it trashes my China shares......but I understand his motivation is to protect his country. I am not bright enough to know if he can achieve these aims.
however, today the new was filled with Juvenile tennagers and students expressing adverse opinions about Trump with no substance. No one challenged them. No one represented the conservative reasoned view. So I will......
What makes a group of spotty self important kids believe they should have the right to prevent our strongest military ally from visiting the UK. As for the baby blimp.....shame on UK. It’s an embarrassment to us all. Real progress is through dialogue and to achieve that effectively you have to show respect. That’s true democracy! Not deciding that you don’t like someone due to policies which are so far away from you that they will never affect our lives. As yet he has started no wars and has at least made progress with North Korea and Russia.
Respect not only for the office but also the man. That’s what being British used to be about. SAS I apologise for these dimwits.

An interesting debate.
Some believe in freedom of expression.
Some believe in freedom of expression without intentionally causing offence.
Some believe in freedom of expression except when it causes offence.
What I don’t like is when an individual tries to say that his/her opinion is the right one, or that it represents the majority. The majority of where? Of who? A country, a continent, the world?
Every country is made up of a swathe of people from different backgrounds and upbringings. Some countries have broader swathes than others.
Differences of opinion occur, depending on your personal perspective, experiences and how much you value the opinions of others, your sense of fairness/injustice.
Love/like/dislike/loathe or somewhere-inbetween doesn’t really matter except come vote time (and only then when you are registered to vote and choose to use that vote - assuming, of course, it is a free vote in that country).
We are where we are. We can influence some things.
People try to influence others when they have a vested interest. Be it moral, monetary or otherwise. But it’s always with a vested interest.
Otherwise it wouldn’t be important to that individual.
(IMHO)
