Schweizer 300c 1/4 Share Available
If anyone is interested in 1/4 share of a very under utilised Schweizer 300c based at Membury Airfield in Berkshire please pm me. One of the owners is an instructor on it if you need to do your type rating or ppl.

Hi there,
I'm currently looking at all possible ways to get my hands on a CPL(H). Let's talk money first, and possibly meet later to check if we want to be in business with each other ;-) .
How much would that share cost, and what would be the hourly cost of flying this helicopter?
Cheers!
L
PS: bah, this mail really looks flat and ugyly. But I'm trying to be productive in tonight's hunt for good angles... Hope you'll forgive me!

There aren‘t that many left. Most of them are owned by S.P. Helicopter (dealership and service center), a bunch of the german registered 300‘s were sold to Indonesia.
I can make a few phone calls tomorrow or on Friday. I‘ll get back to you.

Brilliant little helicopters, the 300'C's - proper fully articulated 3-blade rotorhead, powerful engine with plenty of tail rotor authority, nice control systems, and a reassuringly robust undercarriage and crash protection. Not fast, but flies really nicely. US Army reputedly trained over 30,000 pilots, flying 3 million hours, on the original TH-55.
Sikorsky's mis-management hastened it's demise against competition from Robinson, Cabri and Enstrom, but recent new ownership hopefully bodes well for the future.

Share is still available. £20,000 ono. Costs are split evenly amongst owners so usually around £3,000 each per year and you just pay for the fuel that you use. It’s a very relaxed friendly group. Selling my share as not getting the time to use it at the moment.
Hi MakoSix,
I'm very interested in the share, problem for me is I'm oop north in Burnley. Just trying to get my head round the time to get down and a few other things.
I've not flown for over 20 years, so it would be starting from scratch, I guess that's no issue from you post, but I just need to work out the travel and if somebody would be available for teaching at those times I could make it!
Would you PM me please?
Thanks
