Help please
Hi.
I have to build the Balancing sheet for Mi 172 (Passenger transport)
we have been applied from the mark inside the cabin. But last time, the authorities CAA, they did not agrees with that's procedure. They ask mandatary to do the balancing sheet for every flight. Other ways may be difficult for MI-172 flight with passenger,
Who have already this procedure, please give me some experience or advises.
Thanks you.

Hi Oleary. Thanks for your advice. Normally, on the Abus Helicopter, we are using the picture on the FLM to do the loading and balancing sheet. But for the Russia helicopter, we don't have enough information so It's quite very difficult when I do the loadsheet. Event we have Super puma L2, EC-225, EC-155, AW 189. And I build the balancing sheet easy but for the Russian Mi still stuck!
For our operation, we have to do the balancing sheet with all flight before take off.
Do you have some picture about Mi Loadsheet?
Thanks

Capt Phoung,
you may like to ask an MI-17 operator - Helisky (based in UAE) or Panh (Russia) are two of the operators I can think of who 1. operate MI-17, b. have a loadsheet, c. know how it works.
You can find them via google, and they should be able to help.

Capt. Phuong, I understand the aircraft has a a manual, separate to the flight manual, titled "MI-17 Weight and Balance Manual". From the information contained therein, it would be a fairly simple matter to build an Excel spreadsheet to give the required information. Whether it would be acceptable to your authorities I don't know.
One practise I wrote for the EC155, don't mind the fat copilot and slim captain.

Hello Capt. Phuong,
I have no experience with the Mi-172 but some on the 171 even if it has been some time now. I understand your frustration as the Russian system differs from the "western" one as they used to have CG lines painted inside the cabin marking how much could be loaded in a given area starting from the center (at least in cargo configuration).
As minigundiplomat pointed you could try some of the operators. Vertical de Aviación and Helistar in Colombia operates the 171's. We used a quick template to calculate take off weight and I believe also CG before every departure, unfortunately I have been unable to find a sample for you in my paper box.
Best of luck.

Looks good - although I know nothing about your particular model.
Would it be useful to have a pictorial representation of the seating plan?
Does your CAA require Captains name to be printed clearly next to space for signature?
