As an American pilot I'm curious. How do you guys meet those requirements with only 800 hours?

ATPL theory and IR(H) can be done once you have PPL(A), total time once you have those and CPL(H) could be as little as circa 200 hours. It's possible to get a co-pilot job offshore in the UK with those hours, but I believe Norway requires 800.

Attn anyone considering HKCAD HOI position

‘Buyer beware’ is the key phrase.
If you do not have a current rating on the 139 or 175 and TRE then you will not fly.
The advert is meaningless but for HR to change it would cause too many ripples....
CAD is just another department - it is not an ‘Authority’.
Feel free to pm but a tad busy at the moment ;-)

From the Babcock MCS Offshore LinkedIn page:

We're looking for pilots...

Are you an experienced S92 type-rated pilot looking for a
new permanent opportunity in Oil and Gas with an established and trusted operator?

If so, then Babcock is looking for applications for a number of permanent
positions based in Aberdeen.

We require a minimum of OGP equivalent hours and qualifications, and we offer an attractive remuneration package and a competitive
roster pattern.

If you would like to be considered, and you meet the requirements above, then get in contact with us at [email protected]

It would be nice to see salaries advertised with these job vacancies, if only to able to assess the market trend. From all the advertised posts I can only find one where the pay scale is mentioned and that is Helopat's post above.
If I were thinking of changing my job, what salary would I be likely to attract both offshore & onshore with a UK ATPL(H) IR, 5000 hrs, ME ratings?

Onshore salaries

IR 5000-hrs ?
There are numerous onshore SP guys on salaries of >£100k
109SP appear to be the Aircraft of choice - can’t stand them myself but no accounting for taste ;-)

Thanks tipsock for your links. I'm wishing I had a grandparent born in the UK so I could have right-to-work but oh well. :-) The S-Air link looks interesting.

Be careful with that 145-job in Congo...

They have a ridiculously high turn-over, and their pilots are constantly complaining-about ****ty accommodation, bad working conditions, sub-standard living conditions....

If your working 12hr shifts then usually 4on/4off. 20 days leave the last time I worked there.

I have a couple of friends out there, admittedly they are French, but the message is DO NOT GO!
They aren't protecting their jobs, they are just giving honest advice !
