ATPL easa licence to Canadian ATPL

Can anybody help?

I have a ATPL EASA IR/MC licence in helicopters, what would I have to do to hold a Canadian equivalent licence.

It's been a while since I did my written exams but at the time there was 1 written exam for the CPL, 2 ATPL written exams (HAMRA and HARON), and 1 INRAT written exam (IR). I've got no idea what you'd have to do with regards to conversion/flight testing and whether you can just do one flight test for the ATPL (H) - bear in mind that in Canada you do need to hold a Canadian Night Rating to hold an unrestricted ATPL(H).

Transport Canada can be contacted/emailed fairly easily. Just search their website www.tc.gc.ca for whichever regional office you want to speak with and they should answer your questions.

Question is-why would you want a Canadian license?

Unless you hold a work permit already, you will not get a job in Canada-too many highly experienced canadian pilots sitting at home without a job already...

I seem to recall there is a minimum number of night fright hours required not just a night rating.
accordance with Section 421.11;
(b) 50 hours night flight time as pilot-in-command or as co-pilot of which a minimum of 15 hours shall have been acquired in helicopters;

Depends... this applies only for an unrestricted ATPL(H). If you don't have the night hours or rating, and/or meet instrument requirements then it's possible to hold a Restricted ATPL(H) in Canada for aerial work only.

You could also get an FAA ATP and then just take the written to convert it over to Canada.
