November 1981 in a Bell 47 D1, guess that makes it 35 years with 7 to go on EASA. Fun all the way 😎

40 years, mostly on helicopters 12000 hours, retired 2010 and whilst I do not miss it now, feel very privileged to have been so lucky to have had such a great career. http://cdn.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif

Fifty years: 40 years fixed wing, last 10 years helo. All personal flying, with no accidents, incidents, violations or insurance claims. Will continue as long as I dont become a hazzard to others or myself. Wanted a flying a career but uncorrected vision wouldnt cut it with the military or airlines, so I chose another career option and flying became an avocation. My pro prilot friends, mostly ex mil and retired airline, assure me I made the right career choice!

Ever since I first saw Whirlybirds on TV in the late fifties, I think - well that was initially, at least, in my mind. Actual flying was only 3 years and I didn't get enough of it

32 years, all helicopter. Flown in a lot of countries, hoping to fly in plenty more.
