The lads and lasses that will be hanging on the end of the wire must be praying that the manufacture of anything requiring strength and corrosion resistance is not ‘out-sourced’ to cheaper parts of the world.........#175LessonsLearned

Better hope the missile arming circuit doesn't have any shorts either!

I thought it was meant to be capable of AAR from the A400M, but don't see any boom?

Le Bourget

Working away in the sunny and rain swept show, here my photos of the H160HIL mock up, albeit configured for all three armed services. Example being the naval variant with Sea Venom ASM, the Goodrich hoist and winch for special forces, cannon and stuff for the ALaT.
cheers

It looks so very sharp on that rendering in the color of the french Gendamerie.

The French got it right with the alouette III and again with the EC145 two great workhorses. Will the H160 measure up to that legacy of great efficient machines,

What kind of specific mission will we see these in ?

I rather thing the Germans and Japanese might take quite serious exception to any claim that the French had any role, of any kind, in the success of the 145.

Hello POF

You're totally right but only if you remove the engines on the EC145 (and also the avionics and the Fenestron on the H145) !

H145 -

Avionics - Israeli - Elbit Systems

Fenestron - This one is actually manufactured at least in .de and the carbon blades are a German design apparently

Engines - Joseph Szydlowski was Polish

While we are at it with the perceived bias -I think you may find the composite structures of the H160 are built between AHD for the cabin and AHE for the tail when in production.
