Thank you for starting this thread as my original tribute was moderated out of the crash thread.

Having flown Police 51 in the past my thoughts & sincere condolences go out to everyone who has been affected in any way by this tragic accident.

And to those we have just lost - Rest in Peace.

My condoleances for those who lost their lives in the line of duty doing what they loved and felt was important.
Also my deepest sympathy for those who lost their lives or were injured while on a night out.

Life is short, you have to live it while you can. A glass will be raised in salute tonight.

A sad day, especially as the casualties are now confirmed. It put a dampener on the shift last night and tonight's won't be much better.

SP99: Tributes

Savoia - what a beautiful, serene picture of heli. A contrast to the shocking pics of this tragic scene. May those who lost their lives Rest In Peace.

No Speculation here

Relevant authorities and time will tell us what happened.
Condolences and support to all those touched by this sad event. Should this be the DT I served with I shall raise a glass and recall him getting a bollocking in the bar at Senelager by an army 1*. DT stood perfectly to attention whilst neatly "presenting" pint and fag. A tragic loss to family, service and friends.

Godspeed Swampy. A true gentleman and an outstanding aviator with a deliciously dry sense of humour.
