Helimutt - Haughey 139 is not yet delivered.

Nessboy suggested OY-HJL - which is a pale silver and could be mistaken for while at a distance, and was operating out of Sumburgh last week for Bond

Dubai - tomotomp implied they are not back in the UK yet, but sure enough DU-140 arrived last Monday 21st and is white with blue stripe

Sister ship DU-141 was due later in the week (not confirmed arrived yet, but was due) and is white with green stripe

and then I found the answer. The Danish/Faroe registered OY-HSN has been operating out of Sumburgh too. And it's white...

The Arab 139s above are very slick looking. Lovely paint schemes. Bel Airs ships are tidy aswel!

When is Haughey's 139 due to be delivered?

Haughey announcement was at Helitech in September 2011 and just said "delivery in 2012". If they were announcing it that late in 2011, I'd reckon back end of 2012...

For Ascot was the plan. They've recently recruited a 3rd guy straight from Army Air Corps I gather.

Thanks HH.

I would have thought his mighty 76C would be doing him justice. Why does he need an additional Aircraft?

Just as well, nobody from the industry would touch them/him.

The 76 at Haughey is being replaced by a VVIP 139, full icing clearance, all the bells and whistles, supposed to be delivered may2012. Unfortunately the roster isn't very family friendly, and there is the small matter of a very large 3 yr bond for the 139 conversion.

Still, it would be a nice single pilot machine to fly.

I guess a bond is one way of forcing his staff to stay

Question

I thought that 139 was a dual-pilot aircraft, can you confirm if it can be fly as single-pilot?

Beat me to it Griffo. I certainly applied a few months ago when the ad appeared as the schedule and location suit me and I am 139 TR'd and experienced but did not get an acknowlegement. Maybe, as you say, he prefers to bond people.

With a couple of minor bits of additional equipment it is certified for single pilot IR - QRH holder that sort of thing.

Position was def single pilot. They have two pilots where possible but only one can log any time in the machine, until they go on an aoc.
I didnt think many people stayed for 3years. 58k€ + was a bit much of a bond.
