Yes now with Manang the market here is ferociously competitive, hence why some don't do proper maintenance, but hopefully those guys will fall over soon & then we can have a market price correction

Hey gcpilot8
Pilot salaries not changed here in years
hahahahaha R22's for Nepal; the 'Top of the World' - stupid is; what stupid does they struggle to even get AVGAS here. It's made in Australia, then shipped to India & finally here
With the never ending deaths from Robinson failures......when will people learn & reject them till Frank's garbage is burying at the local dump where they belong
Happy Landings

Namaste Steve,
That Puma certainly threw a shed load of debris around,
just a question for you regarding landing on a shelf like you are in the last pic, I have only ever landed where the land around the machine is flat or nearly flat but constant in profile for the range of small helis I have landed, if near to a drop away when settling down say at about 20 ft and down do you need to offer any rotor tipping to counter the way the downdraft will be being lost down the slope of incline of such drop offs.
or do you just fly in gauging an almost greased on landing...?
Many regards
Peter R-B

Hey Mushroom_2
Very carefully.............. hehehehe seriously though; for a turn-around, Rotors running or not, the safety aspect keeping people out of the rotorables far out ways the walk around's one does during multi-landngs-daily-missions, which You can see OK from that distance thorough daily's are done each day with the Tail over Terra firma

Hi Peter
Hell yes, especially as he was pre-briefed & still landed at the little boys Helipads that's our local Police officer; very politely telling the P.P.Pume Pilot where to go
As for that landing position........jest fly the picture You can flare late & big time with an arrival spot like that without rubbing Your stinger along the ground

Happy Happy landings
