Nothing surprises me anymore, I thought the moderator would delete or edit unwanted material, not cut the guy off, really interesting pictures from a gentleman with a vast amount of experience we could all learn from.
Who cares if he is a vegan! does not make him a bad chap, everybody is entitled to his or her's opinion besides this is a rumour network after all

if the Mods kept warning me, or deleting my pictures with a thin rule to justify it, I too would flip the bird and leave just out of spite.
I would hope he sees the support from the people here and comes back, he will be welcomed by the vast majority, save for a net nanny moderator

Being a Vegan makes VF far more ethical than most others on this site. If you think that killing and dismembering a sentient being, eating its body or drinking it's milk which is solely intended for it's offspring is normal, you are pretty mixed up. Next time try some dog milk in your tea.
Wrong form of moderation. What a shame. Take care VF.

Namaste followers of top of the world. Mr Steven vertical has just now contacted me and said he really appreciates everyone's support. He is trying to post but is still blocked from posting pictures. Very disappointing and childish behavior from the management of this forum. This is my favorite visit for amazing views of my country and interesting posts my Mr Vertical.

To echo Rotorbabe and others,
I also spoke to VF a few days ago. Considering its one of if not the highest viewed threads Pprune and the time he has put into sharing his life and adventures in Nepal for all to enjoy, he is extremely disappointed and cannot understand why he is being targeted. C'mon management lighten up.

This thread is bigger than just PPRUNE. I direct people here when they ask what Nepal is like. If anyone asks what the best forum on the internet is, I show them this one. The mods need to give their collective heads a shake. So, please add my name to those who want to see VF's photo-posting ability re-instated. There are, after all, helicopter pictures here.
I am a glider pilot/instructor but I really appreciate the insight into the world of a professional helicopter pilot that this thread has provided, not to mention nostalgia for past fantastic trips to Nepal!

Dear mods,
I think, if a helicopter pilot posts pictures of his daily life on his job, including yoga, food and a lot of cool helicopter shoots, it is still about a helicopter pilots life. What happens if for some reason, we are going to talk about the prefect food to get through a day of flying? With pictures and recipes? Are we going to be blocked, just we share knowledge and opinions between rotorheads that are not directly related to flying? PPruNe is a place where we hang out because we know find people here, who understand, what it is about. But the life of a pilot isn't about flying all the time. VF has posted by far enough helicopter pictures, stories and know how. There is no need for another tail rotor hanging out over a cliff just to satisfy the forum rules. We got that and it is a good idea.
I really do appreciate the pictures from ground level. All the places we have seen through VF's lenses, that only a few other people will ever have the chance to see and almost all these pictures are somehow related to helicopters. He is a rotorhead after all.
His pictures and posts paint a much better image, than all the glossy magazines together.
I really would appreciate, that this unique thread comes back to life.

I've always found VF's posts to be in the main quite positive (even the Robbie bashing ), I'm even guilty of downloading some of his incredible photos too. Thanks mate!!!!
However, the innocent freedoms provided by a digital world also facilitate litigious avenues for the unscrupulous, and perhaps there is something more sinister brewing at a commercial level that doesn't allow discussion.
Occasionally I've been a bit reckless and perhaps a bit too emotional with some of my posts. I've had posts, threads and even my account deleted here, but I just took a step back, accepted that the site is not mine, and that these kinds of issues tend to sort themselves out eventually.
I'm sure VF will be back if he doesn't take it too personally for not given a reason for being sent to the sin-bin. Until then, to paraphrase the man himself - always keep it sunny side up.

Its very difficult to believe that VF has been restricted because of pictures of food and rotor babes. It just does not make any sense. I also think this has been the best thread on the forum for years now and must have brought in an awful lot of advertising views along the way.
Its also very strange that MODs have not posted here for some clarity.
Brexit, Moon Landings and now this. The world has gone mad again!

I suspect this all started when the mods deleted his photos of his seminar and the accompanying scary crash photos. I seem to remember this resulted in a major philosophical difference between VF and the mod's.
As more posts of support continue to come in for Steve(VF) has anybody contacted Senior Pilot for comment or clarification of the situation?
As has been mentioned in a few posts... advertising revenue for the site is driven by SEO(Search Engine Optimization)
VF’s thread must top revenue to the site... and as previously asked by others why no comments from Senior Pilot?

Senior Pilot (moderator) has no input to his forum post count status etc...as I understand it the difficulties are at a higher level (Admin). To get any of his photos posted here VF must PM them to moderator who will then put them up. Or if VF posts a link to a photo it automatically gets bumped to a queue for moderator scrutiny before it will appear to everybody else. Which to my way of thinking is poor spirit considering his contributions here over many years and thus he might be inclined to venture to other places to enjoy other pursuits. No-one would blame him for that. Enjoy the humidity and cold Bintang VF.
(At present VF can't post, or send/receive PM's)

Steve (VF)
I am deeply disappointed that PPrune has decided to end Steve's contributions to our world.
I spent a lifetime in this industry with 22K+ hours over 54 years - single, mountain, multi, IFR, offshore, night Arctic, night Arctic slinging.
Vertical Flight was my favourite site.
With respect, please include me in those who would lobby for Steve's return.
