Surely that isn't a 206 at 19 grand and still climbing? After seeing that I'm reaching for my anxiety pills and donning my oxygen mask, and I'm at sea level!

The portable GPS doesn't send the mag compass a bit whacky?

12 grand is my limit in a 206, and it's not a comfortable place to be. 12 grand is also my limit in a 212, and whilst the ride is even less comfortable than 206, I'd never swap the 2 donks for a more comfortable ride. You really need to be totally squared away at those altitudes and above, whatever the comfort level or number of donks. More-so than me.

Your 12,000' in a Bell206 was probably similar to mine - 12,000' above ground level. Mine was with 4 parachutists and the doors off. After they had jumped out the change of C of G plus the airflow through the cabin when I tried to descend made for a very uncomfortable and lonely descent which seemed to take forever. Never again :-)

Having followed VF Thread for a while now I think he thrives at the higher altitudes. Get him down to sea level and he's an unhappy camper.

Way outside my pay grade to take on a job like that. I'd want to find a cloud to hide in so I couldn't see outside. Can I just stay home and eat crumpet for breakfast instead?
