Ipad Mini plus Garmin Glo plus good software and you won't have that problem.
The Glo works on the US GPS- and the russian Glonass system.
The whole thing updates the position every 1/10 second and with 5 meters accuracy.
I'm more than happy with the setup.

G'day spencer17.....we often loose total GPS satellite coverage in the deep gorges, not sure if the Glasnoss would cover that problem our problem was a simple wire had come off the antennae

Talking another day.......another Rescue

Weather: haze, fog, cloud, cold

location X (18,805') for a broken leg escape back to civilization after an epic trekk went ouch

TR safety applied as Best as conditions allow

Just out of interest, at those altitudes are you using oxygen or has your body completely acclimatised?

VF great pictures !!! keep them coming ...
Do you have a special procedure to keep the engine running while on ground??? Full throttle or low RPM's?? Any resonance episode so far???

VF.....did you get to see the Bell 407 GXP during its recent visit to Nepal for demo? How did it rate?
