Rotorheads calendar June 2010
A slightly different photo for June’s calendar, thanks to Frank Hetzer. The EC135-P2 (Christoph 30) of ADAC Luftrettung was on a HEMS mission near Wolfenbuette, Germany, which involved landing on a track through a field of rapeseed.
And by popular demand, the week starts on Monday!

They put down on a track in the middle of the crop which made for a safe landing clear of the rapeseed. The perspective of the photo doesn't make it immediately apparent

Tootle?
Does anybody remember 'Tootle' the steam train from the 'little golden books' series of kids books, circa the early 1950s? Pause.
I thought not. Well Tootle went off the rails, literally. Departed the straight & narrow to frolic with the daises in the meadow along the line. I recall Tootle got into trouble big time when some authority figure found out.
Anybody know what happens to choppers with a similar bent?
