Hevilift Png
There is no way Hevilift is the lowest paid on the block...
I've heard some positions in Hevilift are grossly over paid!
And if that was not the case people would have seeked life else where

HL are out and the NZ boys are in , poor HL the ship is sinking, no surprise there management don't give a who they lie to, they will say and do what is needed to hang on to what they have, Adhoc your being to nice, the Clog boys should be called politicians, promising one thing doing another but it was only a matter of time before they lost the Solo's like Timor, the one's who have suffered from all there lying are the twin drivers, Management don't care, they will just pluck out a few more single engine guys from the ranks, promise the world, give them a few special projects, tell them what is needed to do there dirty work, distance them self if it turns ugly just to replace there twin drivers for less pay, Be very wherry guys, good luck

What a crock of S....t some of you blokes talk.
PDL want HL out as it wants its own helicopters (Helicorp) in there before the big 3 year contract due end of the year with AFP. The BK's there as a fill in with the NVG's until Helicorp can sort out their s...t as we all know BK's havn't the legs to do what is wanted by AFP and Helicorp arn't geared up yet to takeover from HL so PDL want HL out.
Its easier for Helicorp to come in with 412/212 later when HL arn't there.
PDL want HL out not the AFP.
98% serviceability for HL at Honiara...36% servicabilty for Helicorp at Timor. Who would you want if you were the Aust Federal Police?
I think there is some sour grapes on this thread as HL got rid of some "dead wood" and by the look of it, arn't happy about it.

There is more deadwood now in Honiara than there has ever been. The guys who can't get jobs elsewhere are staying on because they have left their run too long. I'd start moving boys before you are back in Hagen...if you are asked. good luck

CPL1 you've got it in one.
Adhoc maybe it should have read "availability" instead of serviceability.
HL still in Sols for the time being. Not sure about the deadwood comment, a lot of very experienced people in the operation.
The new contract provider is still to be announced, sometime in May, someone will be shafted by PDL whatever way it goes. Which is a pity, the HL and HW people are all a good bunch and have enjoyed a few relaxing ales together, as it should be.

To all Hevilift personnel who worked on the Solomon’s PDL job in Honiara be advised the tax that management took out of our pay has apparently not been passed onto Solomon taxation. If it’s not passed on as it should be we should be reimbursed, 14 months deductions is better off in my pocket than HL management.

Sort of narrows the chances of working in the Solomons again if what you say is correct.
Do we see any proof? Have heard of this before, it does not look well for future work in that part of the world. Just greed and deception. Bang.........

Hevi Lift / Heli Nuigini / Pacific
Back again.... rather than the continual bashing of HL, and being more positive, wondering what else job wise / work wise is happening in Png at the moment.
Heard H/nuigini put off a few people recently...not sure if its true.
Is there much work in the country?.... work coming in the future?
Just seeing whats happening
