Guimbal Cabri G2
Cabri G2 Hasnt caught fire ! I would be more worried about my Robinson's blades not falling off, cracking , corroding or having some mickey mouse fix because the factory can't make them properly !
.
There has been one inflight fire few months ago (we talked about it in this thread) and Ian is well aware of it because he was the pilot and he managed very well the situation.

Cabri G2
Hi
Does anyone know of any flying schools in the North West that have a Cabri? Have recently been rated on the G2 and have moved so Elstree is no longer practical for flying.
Thanks.

Cabri G2 in North West England
The only Cabri G2's operating in the North West of England are privately owned. Cotswold Helicopter Centre would be delighted to hear from any flight training schools in the North West who might be interested in leasing or owning a Cabri.
UK Aviation Services at Blackpool are an approved Guimbal maintenance facility so the aircraft can be maintained locally.
Regards,
Andy.

Multi flight Flight Training (as was) had gone down the Cabri route. Somebody bought the training school so under a different name now. I thought Helicentre in Liverpool were Cabri users also but that might be a defective recollection...

Things evolve in UK :
The UK distributor for the French-built composite two-seat Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter is expanding into new facilities. HeliGroup is establishing a Centre of Excellence at Oxford Airport, to include a new sales office and training centre. The company is launching a new sales office at Britain’s civil helicopter hub at Oxford Airport, home to Airbus Helicopters’ UK headquarters, as well as a dedicated Guimbal Cabri G2 pilot training centre.

A new engine may well be based on the Lycoming O-390 series, which according to Lycoming's website is currently being certified for helicopter operation. https://www.lycoming.com/engines
