Images from the 32-aircraft OH-58D farewell formation flight performed by 1-17th CAV 82nd CAB over Fort Bragg on April 15th, now officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the "largest helicopter formation flight" (link c/o Alert 5). More images of the event on 82nd CAB's Flickr page here.

Guinness may have given the record to this particular formation....but in the past I have been part of much larger formations.
Graduation Fly By's and Formation returns from Tac-X during Army Flight School exceeded this number during the heyday of Helicopter Training in Alabama and Georgia in the late 60's and early 70's.
The first few Days of the Cambodian Incursion during the insertion of lots of Troops by helicopter was one of them.
My Alcohol ravaged memory suggests I was in one formation of about 160+ aircraft....LOH's, Cobra's, Huey Gun Ships, Hueys, and Chinooks.....and darn near ran out of fuel when we returned to seven refueling points.
Going out was somewhat organized but per typical Army the return was pure Chaos.
Each Unit or Section of Aircraft had different LZ's and the Brief was pretty simple...."That bunch goes first...then you guys follow them....then you other guys follow that other bunch...then....etc.

Because the pilot can choose C or F for the OAT, but the manufacturer chooses C for the rest?

Think you'll find the T4 is showing residual temperature. The Ng is 0.0%. My guess the F/F figure is whaty the flow was just prior to shut-down. Don't have any time on the 130 though
Well, my point is, that it might be better to stick to one format - saving mindcapacity to convert numbers (which shouldn´t be a problem if everything goes smooth, but can distract from important matters, if the going is rough)
Same with gallons, which is a volume figure only needed, when refuelling.
In flight the weight of the fuel is the more interesting figure - cause that is correlated to the limiting factors.
Making live easy for a pilot reduces the chance to **** up and enhances the spare capacity, which could be used for trouble analysis, in case of.....

A few pictures from this years spray season.
Spraying cotton amongst the windmills in Texas, west of Abilene.
Apparently it is one of the largest wind farms in the world.

Checking snow conditions in order to predict the likelihood of avalanches.
The slashers get to the helipad before it's too late. Check out growth under the machine - brush can grow a metre a year here.
Following Vertical Freedom's tail rotor placement protocols. Thank you Mr Bulldozer for the fresh helipad. (Takes about a day for the feller buncher timber harvesting machine to cut down that much forest)
