Shouldn't that super expensive camera auto fold up like Lexus wing mirrors or something when you land? The proximity of that Roma gravel to the lens is makin' me nervous.
I think it was just resting at that position as it was powered down. The surface is bitumen so it wasn't moving that much!

Swiss helicopters was busy so we took the lift to the top of the Schilthorn where James Bond "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was filmed

Apparently this is how they did the aerial filming. Anyone know anything about this?

They had a cool sun roof that I have never seen before - lots of big mountains to sight see and wires to watch out for I guess...

That would be the famous cameraman John Jordan that lost a foot to a bell 47 rotorblade filming 'You only Live Twice'.
It was during the chase scene featuring little nellie that the incident happened. Regarding the shot above he developed that under slung system allowing vibration free shots to be taken from any angle he wanted.

Ohio State Police doing Marijuana recon for seasonal eradication work.

Kentucky Air National Guard @ Glasgow, KY (KGLW) - same mission, slightly better equipment. The annual marijuana seek and destroy operation is quite a spectacle to behold in Kentucky. Helicopters buzzing around EVERYWHERE! A joint effort between DEA, National Guard, state and local police seek out the grow sites with OH-6s and OH-58s and then hot rope crews from UH60s to chop down and remove the plants.

My favorite pee break spot near North Adams, MA. Early autumn colors peeking through.
