Just a reminder what this thread is about: photos of what we do, taken from our machines.

There has been a tendency of late to post 'Spotter's Shots' trawled from the internet, or static 'airshow' pics. They have been and will be deleted, please let us maintain the theme of the most successful thread on PPRuNe

Fair enough, it was a real life rescue though

Bell 214 in Northern Norway

After seeing alot beautiful pictures from all over the world, I figured I would post a few from a slingload mission the other day.

Pre-flight in Narvik (ENNK) northern-Norway

Just lifted off, southbound to the Skjomen area.

The Skjomen fjord

PIC of the day, Terje.

Two cable drums are the load of the day. 2 200 Kg a piece.

Shutdown after the slingload so we can put onboard all the stuff we took off to lighten ourselfes...oil, parts, emergency equipement etc

On our way back to Narvik. Narvik city and the airport in the distance.

LN-ORM heading back to its homebase in middle Norway.

Hope you enjoyed the "view"

The following pictures were taken this June in Leadville, CO. This was during an FAA high altitude flight test program which included tethered max power pulls to establish 10 foot, 50 foot and 150 wheel height performance charts as well as controlability, OEI and Vne expansion tests up to 14,000 Density Altitude.

The 10 foot wheel height test program, flown from the 3rd pilot station, the back seat.

The 50 foot wheel height test.

Towards the end of the flight test program we had a visitor from the military test pilot school.

Martvidar, Great pics from Norway. Thanks for sharing.

What is the iPad looking device above the dash in "PIC of the day, Terje." and what is it doing?

On the "Church Camp" Fire near Price, UT in July:

At the new airport in St. George, UT. There were several large fires that we responded to from this location, including a few near the Grand Canyon.

A flight school at the St. George, UT airport had several Robinson R22 helicopters buzzing around, one of which was painted in Erickson Air-Crane orange (or pretty close to it). This particular R22 is now called "son of Incredible Hulk."

A good size comparison.

The following pictures were taken on the McGuire Fire on the Nez Perce National Forest in Idaho.

Pumping water from a tiny Heliwell.

Approaching the Heliwell.

A good representation of the limited visibility conditions on fires.

Starting the water drop in the smoke.

Decredenza, it is an Ipad with an app installed that shows the Norwegian charts. Kinda works like a "moving map application".

martvidar that is an awesome set up - Our moving maps are when the paper chart falls off our lap (or worse blows out through the open window!)

You'll notice I was still going up at 200ft a min AND there isn't anyone to collect up there. Coldest and most remote place on earth...
