Flying under the Golden Gate Bridge
Just before (probably would have been better if the camera had focussed on the bridge, not the compass :-( ). Before anyone reminds that photography while flying the R44 is explicitly forbidden, I should mention that at this point I wasn't handling the controls.

That picture was taken on the Everglades National Park down in Southern Florida. It is somewhat scary dipping buckets down that way looking at all the gators thru the chin bubble.....
Ah...just saw that----nope not me, that is Rob, one of my other pilots. I prefer to work with a helitack crew rather than get suck doing nothing but buckets all day.

Thats certainly a brilliant picture of the wild cone effect created by power and movement on the Air Crane, one of the best I've seen to show the blade movement on any heli.

I cannot take credit for the pics....I was flying the L4. The pics were taken by Robert Barnes...(permission granted to post), here is another one from this season, that shows the downwash created in the dip:
I was just working with HT-742 over the last few days, it is amazing how much vertical climb the cranes gain during the drop.

Just had this one e-mailed to me by the lookout fire fighter on a ridgeline when I did this burnout two days ago... This is the Giraffe Creek fire on the S.E. Idaho/Wyoming border, about two hours after the pic above with the crane and L4 in it.

SVA Servicio de Vigilancia Aduanera (Spanish Border Patrol)
Hi all
Here you have some photos of the Spanish customs police service.
The Border Patrol Service (SVA) is a Spain´s government agency whose helicopters are operated by civil pilots of the company Inaer.
We fly Bo´s Bk´s and Dauphines N3
The old Bo
This is the old paint scheme of SVA
95% of Flight time is VFRN/IFRN
Fixed-wing division was operated by the military and now is also going to be operated by Inaer. They fly the Spanish manufactured Casa C-212 Aviocar
This is one of the customs agents companions who flies with us in LEVX
Galicia ( at northwest Spain ) it is called the entry gatedoor of cocaine in Europe, here a picture of the shore...
What we have down there?
Later in the morning...
Those little bastards were carrying more than 1.5 tons of cocaine
This was a big one...seven engines (250cc each one) at stern. They abandoned it due to a colission against rocks, after tried to burn it to clean evidences. The police arrived and they couldn´t burn it. There were 19,000 litres of gas inside it. Note how close the buildings are.
This was taken in South Spain (alboran sea, 45 miles southeast from LEAM) where Moroccan Gangs transport Hash from north Africa to our shores

The smugglers here dont use fireweapons (till now).
Our agents only fire at their engines but it is not a common practice.
The pursuit pictures were taken from a height of 15ft
