How about Woodford Park Heliport (as featured in "Helicopter Life" magazine)

3/4 acre site in the Woodford Park Industrial Estate
1.5 miles east of Oulton Park VRP at the bottom of the Manchester low level corridor.
01606 592384
"Winsford Radio" 119.575, displayed on the grass.

There's a Sea Harrier parked on the grass.

I kept an eye out for it yesterday on the way down the LLC, couldn't see it though. You'd need to ring for accurate directions, although PPR is not required.

Arley Hall and Gardens

Arley Hall and Gardens, Cheshire : Home

I was in there last week, and its good for commercial use as well(even a 44). Dead easy from the low level route, and just a short taxi away.

Call me. I may be able to get you into a site just outside the boundary near Mobberley.

Just found a great Restaurant with Michelin Star chefs (but not expensive).
Took a heli into the field at the back today.

Try the Gypsy Hill Hotel; just West of the M5 adjacent to Exeter. JJ

Not a rotorhead myself but when I livid in Limerick I would see helli's land on the grass in front of the SAS hotel ( massive 22 acre gardens) just outside the town. Its probably only 1-2 miles from the ground. Hope this helps !

There's a small airfield at Coonagh just outside Limerick that is home to the Limerick Flying Club (index).

If you look on Google earth it is a fairly straight run to the ground.

Save your pounds,
go to your local pub, have a pint and enjoy some real rugby via the Super 14 contest and give the Kick and Clap (3 point victories) a miss.

But to answer your question, no I do not know, but have a great day. It will probably be won through a try scored by a Kiwi or Aussie player on a retirement package.

Safe flying,

Doors Off.

Welcome to Prestonfield

Its in the SE of the city, around 20 minutes by taxi to Murrayfield or the city centre, but it's a fantastic place and has it's own helipad.
Not cheap, but if you can afford to fly a helicopter you can afford to stay there.

Someone once told me that their was a helipad at Edinburgh Castle, but if there is I wouldn't know who to contact or even if they'd let you in there.

Watch Prestonfield , not landed there myself but the site is not huge and is surrounded by tall mature trees ,the site is bordered by a built up area and a Golf Course . Not good if going in heavy . I'd say a twin for public transport flight. Interestingly the head green keeper of the Golf course is a friend of mine and a couple of years ago I was going to take him for a flight from that site and the chief pilot of a local company at the time who knew me and my experience well said no that it was a too congested for a single. Having said that I have seen an R44 land there so who knows.

Anyone know of a cheap landing site near Sherborne in Dorset? Compton Abbas is a bit far out.
