Lots of expansion, and plenty of pilots positions. B412 experience preferred, but 155's just being introduced. Rates competitive with other International levels, with work in Mumbai and on the East Coast where the growth is happening. well its really nice to hear great things about a place , iam in the UAE and looking for a change , just one question please , what licence { s } would they be happy to validate , and for how long would they be valid please

about the licence i know they work with the FAA, lots of indians go to USA for their training, but i know of a couple of pilots that moved there from aussi land with a CASA licence without problems, not sure if they had to do an air law exam or not, but i'm sure it won't be a problem.
about the EC130 no idea.

india offer
i was offered a job in mumbai last year flying a koala for club one air
they had 2 new a119 koala`s
they made me an offer of 50,000 usd per anum, 1 year contract
they were going to get a waiver for me to fly there as i did not have enough time in type
i had 200 they wanted 500 hours in type
they offered a ride to work every day and a place to live
they wanted to pay in rupees
they would not give me any solid data on duty time or scheduled work days
( i found out later it was 6 days on 1 off)
they would not confirm travel expenses would be payed
the wing commander did not want to work with me in the least to make the deal happen
i passed on the job but wished i could have gone over there to work
he ended up hiring a guy from sri lanka for 10,000 usd per anum

I was based in Juhu fron '84 to '87, one of the best operations I've been on especially if you forget the Indian bureaucracy.
Also there at the same time were British Airways Helicopters, Schreiner, Heli-Union, Elitos, and Okanagan Helicopters all operating out of the same hangar.
Schreiner had AS365N's and SA330's, BA Sikorsky S76A and I think at one stage an S61, Heli-Union AS365N, Okanagan, Bell 212's and S61, and Elitos SA330. Houston Helicopters had just left.

Now there are Indian and joint venture companies operating from the Juhu.predominantly Dauphnes,412,212,S76C and a set of 119s and 407s.
The bureaucracy and the monsoon is still the same.yeah,traffic in the Air has gone a bit crazy splly over Mumbai and Delhi.

Validations on any valid ICAO licence with the 412 specific rating and IR (or proof of currency for those licences not showing type rating) by DGCA in India. No co-pilots. Only rotational 6/6 jobs. No conversions, or type ratings possible with this expat licence validation system.

Flying in India - A little how to and what to expect
So you want to fly in India.
It works like this:
Once you have successfully negotiated the terms and conditions with the company of your choice, that company will send you a letter of appointment, which you sign and mail back.
It is like a working contract.
Keep in mind, you need 100 hours on type to fly commercially in India.
You have to provide your employer with the following:
Copy of your passport
Copy of your license
Copy of your medical
Copy of your loogbook showing the last check ride on the desired type signed by the TRE, less than six months old. It doesn't hurt to also mail the check ride protocol.
Copy of your radio license
Letter of verification from your license issuing authority. Can be obtained online with the FAA, JAA countries want to be called up, afaik.
6 photographs
With this the company will get your license validated by the Indian DGCA and get a security clearance.
This process will take 2 month+, don't be impatient.
After they tell you that everything is in order on their side you take a copy of the letter of appointment, walk up to the consulate/embassy and get an employment visa glued into your passport. Make it valid for a year with multiple entries.
The application form can be downloaded from the government web site.
You'll need 2 photographs again and pay 80 Euros. The company will reimburse you.
Now it is time to go.
Your employer will either provide you with an airline ticket or you buy it and get reimbursed in India.
Once you have arrived a company official will take you to the DGCA to get your license validation certificate.
You have to show up in person and present your original documents/logbook.
They might get you involved into a little chat to see whether you speak english...
Shouldn't take more than ten minutes, after an hour or two of waiting, that is.
After seeing the DGCA you have to go to the foreigner's registration office and pick up your permission to stay in the country. You need 4 photos here and about 3 to 4 hours time.
Now since you have taken that hurdle you are good to fly.
Within the next 90 days you have to pass an air law exam, so sit down and study a bit.
Bring a lot of photographs with you because everything you want to get going here needs at least one picture. Scanned and printed on photo paper is fine also for the above.
Setting up a bank account- 2 photos
Getting a SIM card- 2 photos
Mobile Internet Access- 2 photos
Etc.
