ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD: Videos
From this point of view it looks like a big old machine from the past,
it reminds you the kind of torture the components of the rotor head are taking for you while you are enjoying a nice cruising.
next preflight keep it in mind

I don't think anyone in the US has picked up any bearpaws yet but the guys in Europe seem to like them. Maybe we will next winter. Are you in BC? Not too long of a drive down to Oregon to try out the Cabri while you await certification.
California fire fighting on Periscope
Ok bear with me.
If you haven't downloaded the smartphone app "periscope" you should.
It is a free and easy way to broadcast live from your phone. The server keeps the video online for replay later.
You can scroll forward by holding your finger on the screen.
It is a useful way to broadcast a ground view of an event or emergency. Will also work from the air.
The map search function is intuitive.
Most of the videos are self absorbed folk doing selfies.
This video has the aerial ballet of several helicopters manoeuvring around high voltage wires a few hours ago.

Same fire, close to drops.

Fresno Eagle One rescue - with questionable handling
hi,
there is a new video on the net from a rescue of a girl out of a river.
Well done for the rescue - but watching the video - shortly after the two minute mark - I think, the handling of the pilot is questionable.
He starts to fly the MD in low hover with his legs, to operate a switch in the center console.....
a bad habbit, which can lead to desaster, to operate switches in a low hover - m2cw....
