Dome under news chopper

Hello,

Could a rotorhead tell me what this device mounted on the belly is? They are sometimes opaque white instead.

We used them for a while before the Liquid Laser System was certified by the Atomic Energy Commission.
It’s a Gender Biasing Unit which is used extensively in areas of heavy infestation of the Amorphous Mosquito.
Simply it has a “Old” Technology Ionising Tube in the centre of the protective polychromic cylinder.
It basically renders the male Mosquito infertile………..same as the pilot !!!

The US military call this "Bin Laden fart finder"
It's proper German name is the Scniffarter.
Designed to detect odours given off by humans under stress.
Detection resolution is 1 part per million.

(Inside on the left you can see the electronic ignition)

Snoop

It's an early attempt at a bull**** detector, designed to help in newsgathering.

Unfortunately, it got overloaded and burned out as soon as it heard pilots talking.

Yeah, the British army has just started using a mil spec version in opaque white.
The camouflage model cost too much.

I am sure that it is the real Dave Jackson, (AKA the Martian) - seen recently ‘elsewhere, not far from here’ practicing engine auto relights- you can see his legs inside the cage on the other side.

He stands in there, casts his critical optic over the peons below at nightime and operates as a contractor for the ‘govt’ that is gonna soon change their leader or bring in new tax laws.

The idea is to light up the night sky as a U-S-D (U.f.o. Simulator Device) that confuses and terrifies the masses and takes their mind off of the looming – Yeah -- looming terribilus.

Obviously with a name like ‘Jackson’, and a personna that pretends to be british dominican the British army has to be much smarter and house him away from prying eyes by using the opaque white dome.

Being a Martian he can see through all this camouflage stuff and quite enjoys sitting incognito whilst getting a big charge from a friendly generator while some British skeletal pawns (seen in NY in blue overalls) can be convinced to sit in the pilots seats where he can use their minds to ply - Ohms law.

What I would like to know is - how much is the contract worth??? Better than the looming NSW EMS contract I bet.

Perhaps it is the MK-I Piegon Perch Oggin Bobber SAR Scanner system designed for the USCG.

Seems the piegons have a better set of Terms and Conditions in their contract and they must have a set amount of off duty time. The one snag to the MK I was they used Homing Piegons who found home fine but could not be enticed to return to work without an escort.

That is a High Definition TX Microwave Antenna Pod. It used to be solid black, but now they have made them in clear plastic and the reason for that is because that antenna has to continually point (track) the receiver, in that system sometimes tends to go strange places, so now that it is clear plastic the cameraman can, in flight, look at the antenna and see if it is pointing at the receive site. I once spent a considerable amount of time flying testing why the system wouldn't transmit as it should, only to find that the antenna was pointing always 40+ degrees in the wrong direction. But that was with the black cover.

Don't believe that website - look at the name of the company! It's a TROLL!

All the other explanations are far better
