Seems to me some people have been holding out on contributions to the "Rotorheads around the world" thread!

Great pics, well done.

Friend of mine Sigurdur Asgeirsson cpt of the Icelandic Coast Guard, took this picture last summer of
HSI(helicopter service iceland) Long Ranger on a job with glaciologist doing research on glacier movement , the location is
south east side of Vatnajökull, Europe´s largest glacier. The tripod has a DGPS fixed on it and are left on location throughout summer.
The pilot was cpt Jon Bjornsson of HSI.
Great pics, all of them

Well I thought so as first but there doesn't look to be enough 'blurring' around the moving parts.... its all too sharp.

Unless its a photographic technique?

They're in BlenderPilot's post.

Big files so, if you're on dial-up, probably take some time to download.

Thanks to Ron German, RotorRookie and RS2 for the superb pictures and to BlenderPilot for creating the calendar.

Smile June Calendar

Here are this month's offerings: Blender Pilot having last month raised the bench mark there is a choice of two, with further options of 'normal', and widescreen for those of you with flash new notebooks

This picture was taken by 212man a couple of years ago at Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in a typical shower of rain:

or

The RAF Sea King was photographed last year by crab@saavn in the Lake District in Cumbria, and is a Mk3A of 22 Squadron

or

I'm looking for more images to use for the August calendar.
Anyone with photos that will be suitable for the Northern Summer, and the Southern Winter, please forward them on

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but when I set either of those pictures as my background, the quality is awful???

Can anyone offer any solutions?

Thanks

HeliEng, The picture is just a thumbnail. Left click on it and then a high quality version will pop up.

John, many thanks from those of us forced to go dial up.

Matthew.

I like the first one the best!

Not a sight I'll be seeing for a while, having just departed (yesterday) for the last time (never say never though!)

Thanks, John

Many thanks to John Eacott of The Helicopter Service Australia for creating this month's calendars,
and to 212man and crab@saavn for providing the pics.

Now that John and Carlos (BlenderPilot) have taken to giving us a choice each month, we need even more pics.

Please keep them coming.

Big H,

can you give us some technical requirements for the photo regarding the quality you need, etc., e.g. what resolution camera?

I've got loads from the camera on my phone, but I think 1.3 megapixel might be a bit rough-cut for what you need....

Cheers
