3 dead in R44 crash South Africa in February
The South African CAA Occurrences report for February 2016 includes an accident to an R44 (ZS-HKZ). The helicopter landed 'hard' at a farm near Delmas on February 24, 2016, bounced and rolled over. This accident supposedly resulted in three fatalities but, surprisingly, I've not been able to find any press reports about the event (that may just be down to me). The circumstances, as described, sound relatively benign to result in three deaths and I wonder if there may have been a fire. Does anyone know anything more about the circumstances of the accident?
