I have subscribed to Rotor & Wing for many years. In the past few issues they have inserted a reply flyer advertising free subscriptions if you qualify. According to the list, qualification is easy.
It appears by granting free subscriptions they are trying to increase their reader base, which would allow an increase in their advertising rates. IMHO.

Try http://www.rotorandwing.com, it takes you to http://www.aviationtoday.com/reports/rotorwing/
Scroll to the bottom, click on "Subscribe to the print version" (of course, you could just view the articles there online, but I don't think graphics are included, and you probably can't look through all the ads at the end
Click new subscription on the page that comes up and it will present you with a form to fill out.
