Snoop Iran Pull Out?

Since this is a rumour network - here we go again...

Apparently the on-again-off-again Iran contracts are now "Off again" as of the end of December.

Wonder how this will pain out this time around?

Will another pilotical solution be found on the last day again?

Hmmm - watch this space - "As the Rotor Turns"

You must be referring to the one and only Ernst (Ernie) Maas. You're right, he was/is a piece of work. Rumor has it Maas bought into a helicopter company out in Western Canada, something to do with 214's?

Big dissappointment

Looks as though the Christmas fairy just had his wings clipped, good old ADA didnt come to the party after all. About 1/2 the daily rate everyone was led to believe. I guess good ole JL wasnt so crash hot after all, Indeed he has sweet FA power where it matters. Big dissappointment all round I think.

Slightly Off-Topic, but couldn't find a definitive answer, are there any civil helicopter companies working in Bahrain and have a base there?

Snoop

All rumours with regard the slicing of the "new" daily rate are true!
It's not as easy to figure out this new thingo apparently, since it depends on several different things such as age, type of license held and type of aircraft flown.
Not sure about all the different amounts.
One thing I DO know is that a pilot with an ATPL under the age of 60 flying the B212/412 will get the equivilant of US$55 a day.
So much for the US$100 day that JL was promised for the lads !!!
With one hand they gave and with the other they took some of it away.
Typical!

Devil

It's kind of comforting to see that nothing ever changes at ADA. As usual a strong rumor is followed by definite confirmation, then absolutely certainty, but before the concrete test (money in the bank ) comes the return to reality with the hard letdown. What a cr*p company. I guess you guys who stay on there are the true definition of optimists

Yarba ..... Nah we're just bloody idiots!

Munchkins ..... Cheers and all the best to yourself for the New Years .... stay safe ......

ADA implosion may still happen ...... combination of now REALLY PISSED OFF Captains and the prospect of some local Ex-Mil pilots being pushed through Horizon to "pad out" the numbers .....

Interestingly d'ya think that the local pilots will be paid more to do less then the Ex-pat Captains .... methinks YES ... ('cos it already happening) ... no names of course

Cheers to all

Well another chief engineer bites the dust at ADA. Bit of a shame really as he was not to bad by all accounts. Word on the street is most of the guys are unhappy about it and do not want to see the teabag DCE promoted into the top slot as he is known for been a . Well done ADA management muppets . Another step backwards for the company .

As usual, depends on qualifications - the main one being a UAE licence, now that they have changed the exams! Aerogulf are the other operators there. While not exactly short-staffed, a good applicant is always encouraged to apply.

There are more like 2 Americans, 1 Canadian, 1 South African, 2 Venezuelan, 1 Spanish, 6 Australian, 1 Brit, 1 German and 4 or 5 New Zealanders. Hardly full of them! And what's wrong with New Zealanders anyway?
