The ME is always desperate...apply if you want a job, and leave if it is not to your liking...listening to the views of the many who have been fired (a badge of honour from ADA BTW) will colour your picture quite well...however, what appeals to one does not appeal to another.

Good luck.

Job in Kuwait?!!

I freely admit my lack of civvy experience here, but does anyone else think this lot are asking for more than a pound of flesh? They'll be asking the poor pilot to pay them next.

21,800 pounds! Two types and IR. 30 days off and only one flight!

No way! Although the free phone nearly sold me on the deal.

Your instinct was correct Scottishbeefer.

Devil

The largest Kitty Litter Box in the World. Located north of Riyadh and west of Daharan. Basically in the middle of a desert. Big long runways, lots of military vehicles, and a bunch of camels and Bedouin roaming around. Oh yeah, they have this thing called a 'Schmaal' which is basically a very hot wind that blows sand up so much that you can see only in meters. It gets in every orifice of your body and basically erodes the bollix off helicopter external components and engine inlets and compressor sections.
But hey, just think, you might be able to buy a Big Mac and read Stars & Stripes. Have fun!!

Is it really such a bad deal?

Don’t forget to include the accommodation allowance and car, with petrol, into the remuneration package. And it is tax free and there are no heating bills!

Sounds like a fixed base operation and home every night.

Sure the requirements are a management dream sheet but what will they really accept?

Yarba, I have to get out of bed every day for less money and less leave. I am not going to let you make me feel bad about doing so (I have told myself).

Emerald City:

27°57'22"N 45°33'05" E

King Khalid Military City (KKMC or "Emerald City") at Al Batin, Saudi Arabia was built to defend the north-eastern border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Designed for an army division of three brigades, the city had a design population of about 65,000 people. In the 1960s and 1970s, U.S. Army and Air Force engineers designed and constructed several Saudi bases, including Taif, King Khalid Military City and Khamis Mushait. History shows these bases and support facilities provided the needed infrastructure to help absorb a deployment of the size and speed of Desert Shield.
