Graculus,
I'm sure he will be a huge asset to CD, and impress the AW instructors as much as he impressed the ECF ones. Clearly CD are destined for excellence.

Although, not on a Rotorheads matter, I read that the EFCC has indicted Arik Air, its Chairman, Arumemi Johnson, vice-chairman, Senator Anietie Okon, Mr. Michael McTighe, Olubiyi Sangowawa, Mr. Michael Arumeni-Ikhide, Mr. Dare Mabiaku, for money laundering. The EFCC also intends to probe the source of the funds used for founding the airline.
There have been frequent reports about the airline in the Nigerian press and in Sahara Reporters (which has also reported on a Nigerian helicopter operator).
I wonder who will be next .......

According to This Day newspaper, Aero has restructured its $220 million debt with Oceanic bank and is now a 100% Nogerian company owned by the Ibru Group.
The statement also said that CHC will continue its technical relationship with Aero and maintain its aircraft both in scheduled passenger operations and rotary operations, which service the nation’s oil industry.

“Aero has consolidated and restructured all of its loans with Oceanic Bank on more viable terms and conditions that both parties deemed to be in their best commercial interests. Aero and CHC Helicopter Corporation (“CHC”) recently executed a series of 10-year agreements covering everything from helicopter leasing via personnel services to maintenance, repair and overhaul,” the statement said.

In the lands of the North, where the Black Rocks stand guard against the cold sea, in the dark night that is very long the Men of the Northlands sit by their great log fires and they tell a tale of the happenings before the helicopters arrived...

Coming soon to a Nollywood cinema near you...

Scene III. A Heath near Warri

Thunder. Talking, 4 witches using magic electronic cowrie shells connected by the Majek Telekoms Nutwork ...

Drunken Ossie Lager Tippler (DOLT) .... oh mates, I'm so pi$$ed off here. No real boozing, nobody to bully and they get a real sense of humour failure if you so much as kick in a door or bite someone's ear off ...

Precious Information Dispenser (PID) .. oh mate, come back and join yer mates. Don't believe the BS that old stuffed shirt the Majah gave yer. I've bin here fer years and I know how to treat these people. Don't worry, yer'll be with yer old mates ...

I have no spur
To prick the sides of my intent, but only
Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself
And falls on the other ...

Yanqui Information Person (YIP) ... yeah, yah know DOLT, I know all the rules, I've got gigabytes of them back home on the computer. Between us we can stitch this place up and make it much better than it ever was. I'm gonna be Cheap Pilot yah know, and PID's gonna be the damager ...

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble ...

Anger Management Pilot (AMP) ... oh mate come on back, we'll have a few pints of Fosters every night and just make sure we stop 10 hours before we plan to start flying. There's only gonna be a bunch of cojos and akvavit -soaked fresh-fish Vikings, they can do all the work, we can shout at them and have a good time. It'll be great mate ....

Look like the innocent flower,
But be the serpent under it ....

DOLT ... Oh PID, YIP and AMP, it's so good to know I can have a great life with me mates. Fer sure I'll come and join yer mates ....

Camera pans out to reveal DOLT, PID YIP and AMP with tinnies in hand, vomit on their shirts and smiles as they dream happily of kicking in doors, biting off ears and getting paid thousand of pieces of paper with dead presidents' heads every month ...

... the mushrooms were particularly good tonight ...

... The wine of life is drawn, and the mere lees
Is left this vault to brag of ....

... your dribble is becoming just that ..

I suppose you mean drivel, though the two words originally meant the same thing: drool. However these days they have become differentiated. When you mean to criticize someone else’s speech as stupid or pointless, the word you want is “drivel.” ... which of course is all my psilocybin-induced rantings are, though your (correct use of the word by the way) reference to Part C man eludes me.

To yet again misquote old Billy the Bard ...

Full fathom five my father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell:
Ding-dong.
Hark! now I hear them - ding-dong, bell ....

... as Sellar and Yeatman asked in one of their Test Papers - ("Do not on any account attempt to write on both sides of the paper at once") ... Captain, art thou sleeping there below? ... No, but I soon will be ...

"Good night, sweet princes,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!"

Your right, Bristow has offered work to everyone..... base salary only.

So how do you manage to get that when the last notice issued by the company said?

Update 13th July 2010
23. In the letters issued to Pilots and Engineers what is meant by the statement "Basic salary will remain the same as a minimum" ?
This statement confirms that if an individual is offered an opportunity on a Bristow operation outside Nigeria his/her basic salary will not be reduced. The basic salary will go up if the salary levels in the area in question are higher but it will not go down if the salaries are lower. Allowances paid in addition to the basic salary will be those allowances applicable to the area of operation. Nigerian allowances will not be payable for anyone offered a position outside Nigeria.
24. What will be the methodology for calculating the Voluntary Redundancy package for those staff eligible for this option ?
The following formula will be utilised for calculating all Voluntary Redundancy packages:
First 5 years - 1 month full monthly pay for each completed year of continuous service up to 5 years.
5 - 10 years - 11/2 months' full monthly pay for each completed year of continuous service from over 5 years to 10 years.
Over 10 years - 2 months' full monthly pay for each completed year of continuous of service after 10 years.
Old man Bristow refuses to sign any agreement
This would be difficult as Old Man Bristow died on 26 April 2009! In 1985 after he had a falling-out with Lord Cayzer, Bristow was bought out by the Cayzers, and retired.

Ah how the old ames are rolled out in desperate attempts to either undo that which has been done or do that which has not been done.

Aero has recalled Captain Kobo from retirement several times and Nabiel was brought back until he decided that silk purses may not be made out of the ear's of females of the porcine persuasion. As long as Lala man is at the helm and the small Well of Bos the navigator presided over by the Irn Bru's the company will struggle.

Now Caverscam/ConDoctor have brought in Day Vallen to help Harry the Headache sort out their mess. Hmmmm. As long as Caverscam is involved things will be difficult me thinks ......

ah me, at least thou knowest. The very one, though I'm lost for suitable poetic prose emanating from that country and I have neither the time nor the language skills to further explore Inimigo Rumor. Helas, I'm am always drawn back to the genius of Billy the Bard.

He of the Headache would doubtless, were he a lover of things other than the rigours of safety management, love to quote:

Whole like a tangerine
Quiet as pillow whispers
A black hole
The center of the universe
Mad scientist drilling and sawing
At a hole in your face
The hot lamp burns yellow and red
Garish summer sunstroke
Shut your eyes
Blue and black pound away
Jack hammers in the night
Cut out the sunlight
Black out knock out
Blankets wash over you
Cold crisp cotton sheets
Shock your skin covered skeleton
Claw the corners
Turn on the firelight
A head demon transcribes
BEER CANS
BRA STRAPS
ZIPPERS AND BUTTONS
SLOSHING NIPPLES
Wipe the stars away

... but the Immortal Bard already said

Have you the heart? When your head did but ache,
I knit my handercher about your brows,
The best I had, a princess wrought it me,
And I did never ask it you again;
And with my hand at midnight held your head,
And like the watchful minutes to the hour,
Still and anon cheer'd up the heavy time,
Saying, 'What lack you?' and 'Where lies your grief?'

However, Harry is doubtless a descendant of O'Thello the Irish courtier who was always hearing tales of Des de Moaner and believing her to be gay, suffocated her.

What was your question again? Ah yes Harry who had migraines with auras. Experts say that prevention is the easiest way to deal with a migraine and normally recommend severing the head with an extremely sharp cutting implement such as a stryker saw.

... btw ... what happened to slowwonder? I hope my nerveless prose has not forced his tender mouth from venturing upon my trolling fly?

Thou surely art an enlightening contributor to this topic Graculus. Thou shinest like a jewel in an Ethiops ear and givest Epiphany a most joyous reading of Rotorheads. Nosegays a plenty Sire.

A dweller of the far, wild Penantipodes, a lover of Billy the Bard, truly, sirrah, thou art a Romeo....

O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear;
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder lady o'er her fellows shows.
The measure done, I'll watch her place of stand
And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand.
Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight!
For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.

But though the Bard quoted thus, and though I have quoted the witches, what goes on is surely directly from Othello, and many of the descendants of Iago players in the present drama. One hopes that the imminent arrival of the Scandinavian players, stage left, the descendants of Hamlet, will not lead to a re-enactment of the immortal bard's tale of Elsinore, with the Blue Lodge Guesthouse substituting for Kronborg Castle. Though I fear that if the early Sunday ministrations of the church, its nearest neighbour continue, it may lead to further re-enactments of Hamlet's speech:

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite
jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his back a
thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is!
My gorge rises at it.

Nigeria???

What exactly is the connection to this forum with this kind of mindless dribble???

Sox,
if you can't work it out from that description, you clearly don't know him!

Mind you, I'm trying to work out who graculus is, so you are not alone!

Bunker,

Because within and without quotes from the immortal bard, Graculus is letting us know what is happening in Nigeria at present and as a bonus Philistines get a free lesson in English literature.

Bunker,
It's only mindless to those of insufficient mind to grasp it in the first place.
