Nobody realistically imagines that the threat will go away or that it can be totally protected against. In common with many still out here, I keep a close watch on what is going on and make my own assessment.

I would like to suggest you a way to get a proper retirement:
You need save, at least, 10% of your total earnings since you start working.
The longer you take to save... the higher will be the % of savings, or you will not have enough money to retire.
That said, start saving... it's never too late... and if you spend more than earn... change job.

It will be on the Nigerian registration once it arrives in its new home in Lagos. They should be having their first night stop on the African continent, in company with another S76C+ also en route to Nigeria for Bristow.
The S92 will be very nice as it has an APU and an ECU so the air conditioning can be powered up even if the aircraft is sitting on the ground with the rotors stopped.
Despite the problems in Nigeria, it has some of the newest helicopters around in one African country with S92s, EC225s, AW139s, S76C++s, Bell 412EPs and SA365N3s - not to mention the Bell 407s and rather older, but still good AS332Ls. There's still good flying to be had out here.

What is driving the change in aircraft....the customer demanding newer aircraft, the NCAA demanding newer aircraft....or new management at the very tip top offering new aircraft?
Real change from the days when Nigeria was the place old...old...old aircraft went to die.

Shell introduced the then brand-new EC155s with Bristow in Warri and PH a long long time ago to raise the bar from 212s. Where Shell leads others now follow
Well sort of .....you got aircon on dem 155's? Or are the pilots still wearing see thru shirts?

I remember those halcyon days of the 155. I also remember them all being in the shed and the much maligned 212 and Sh1thawk doing double time to keep the wheels turning.
But then again, that happens with all new equipment. They are well sorted now.

Raising the Bar?

After the unmitigated success of the 328 Jet and the EC155 is it true that Shell are to continue to raise the Bar even further and acquire AB139's?
They may soon be able to return to the payload capabilities of the 212!
"The Hare and the Tortoise" were obviously not obligatory reading at all Welsh Schools in the 1970's

Soggy, I think you'll find Dry Air is well aware of the S-92 aircon and APU, and uses them on a regular basis!
Dry Air- don't worry about the Reg: you'll be welcomed with open arms! You'll find Lagos a bit like Anduki, only a little different.....!

was just curious as one did apply to Nigeria last year and was told he didn't have the necessary types operating there on his license.At least he's enjoying the Tiger in Libya now

Trog - You can only take the best of what was on offer at the time. Unless you believe its time for Bell to do a 412XP (EP with furry dice, go-fast stripe and extra cup-holders).
They did a "Pope Mobile"....so why not an XP?

Hey what's wrong with the 412 anyway? Them french plastic bombers are all nice and shiny, and perhaps they fly faster. "Bud sis elecdronics ginda suck when it gomes to moisture and sand"
