Just splashed out on a BMW R1200 RS, lovely bike. One cylinder is as big as all four on my last bike (CBF600)! Just clocked up a massive 175 miles on it......total
Poor thing got a bit dirty though so it's all washed and back in bed now

2001 929RRY Fireblade and 2015 Triumph Bonneville Scrambler. Been riding motorbikes since I was 13 and that is over 40 years ago!

And 0 - 200 in 6 seconds!!! You'll need to strap yourself to the handlebars to cope with that acceleration!

K1600GT number four delivered last week, first 1,000km in two days, booked for a colour change next week. I prefer white, but the Munich Gods decided that only the GTL can be that colour for a few years!

Stunning speed shift, virtually clutchless for gear changes once on the move. Reverse is a WOFTAM, but I'd have had to wait until next March for Australian delivery without R for Reverse!

Meanwhile the farm bike plods along as the most amazing on and off road beast, especially with TKC80 front/TKC70 rear

Seems like an Aussie just isn't happy without a little sheepskin between the loins

After a few delays on my XV1000SE scrambler build, i got this as a daily driver for commuting. Got to love it when that VTEC kicks in

Much deeper note, often gets complimentary comments from others. Saves 5kg from stock, too, and a lot easier to keep clean.

The new engine mapping for EU Emissions has buggered the throttle response, even though BMW claim the same 160 horses they are lazy farm animals, not the racehorses of old I’m looking for an aftermarket ECU tweak to restore what I’m used to; last Saturday I could only keep up with a police RT until 180, normally I’d be 70% throttle and just playing to do that. OK above 220, but that’s not the game for the twisties.

This thread's been going for a while... I posted way back in 2004; a different life altogether back then. Now retired thanks to the CAA and cancer but enjoying a rather nice Harley Softail Deluxe as and when the weather allows.

I strongly recommend [email protected] He does all of my street and track Ducatis.

I recommend that you stay away from Wayne at Tuneboy. It's an Auz company that produces a good product but sadly ZERO support.

Bikes need to be noisy!

Earlier today i were waffling on to another rider how my 1290 has a nice quiet rumble to it. I reckoned it probably needs to be noisier for safety though i like the low rumble. Yep, hop on the bike, ride away, and then nearly get collected by a P plate driver (1st year driver) changing into my lane that were on his drivers side - He didn't know i were there!!!

First job on the list tommorow - Exorst modifications..

Had everything from a Honda 50cc to a new GSXR600 all converted to racing. Miss the bike days but it sure hurts worse to crash as we get older. Have ridden the Tail of the Dragon/Deals Gap multiple times. But once I did my first track day, I never rode street again. Now I'm clearly a safer guy by flying helichoppers ha.

Great bike 92Driver used to have the Husqvarna WR430, so much power and torque, revving up like a 2 stroke with the torque of a 4 stroke.
such a robust bike clearly designed for a Swedish Viking

who ever made the gear box for that bike should be working for airbus helicopter EC225 division.

One day clutch gave up shut, just switched gears without declutching, lasted years like that.
