Helitech

Hi all,

Any N.Sea guys going to be there Wed 24th?

I'm just starting out (current fixed wing PPL starting CPL(h) next year) and I'd love the chance to bend their ear about stuff, hear about life up there etc before I go ther in person for a look around.

If anyone can, please PM me, much obliged.

S.S.

Well I'm flying in on Tuesday (weather permitting) in Rotorvation's R22 from Brands Hatch. The '44 should also be in attendance as we're having a bit of a day out...

See you there folks

Well - did anyone else fly in today? What FANTASTIC weather! Shame it took an hour to get fuel on arrival, but I suppose the bowser breaking down couldn't be helped...

Well done to Duxford's FISOs who did a great job despite some poor R/T from some (simple things like forgetting type, p.o.b., destination and startup clearance - shame it was one guy and all in the same message!).

So, did anyone else enjoy the stunning vis today?

JDP,

How the hell are ya, nice to hear from you despite trying to rubbish my statement, the OS people have described Ribchester, a small old Roman village as the CENTRE of the UK, as it is only a couple of miles from moi, how can I be classed as nearly in Billys land

Been to Helitech Tuesday & Wednesday saw some old friends, Saw some very nice Aircraft Liked the look of the Sikorsky S92 (Looks very nice in the Green), Can't understand Agusta Westland No AB139, No EH101 (which I think is a far better Helicopter than The Sikorsky S92) obviously dont wish to sell their Aircraft.

Didn't see any pruners wearing the PPRUNE Badge, got some nice freebie's for the kids, weather was excellent.

Also went arond the Museum which was worth a look, had a great two days.

If you havent been yet and you can go Tomorrow.

Hi there,
Did any of you people see the Jigsaw aircraft at Helitech.
I'd heard it was going to be there.
Did Bristows give the impression that things were looking good for that machine's future ?
Thanks

Autorotate: I called by your stand twice but you were off somewhere; I nicked a magazine though, very good.
Flying in was brilliant, especially coming out - vis was 50 miles. I managed to blag a ride in the S92, which included a max performance t/o, 2200fpm vertical.
Excellent day.

Sorry I wasnt there guys, busy playing and looking at all the toys

To anyone else going today make sure you stop in and visit. Will spend a bit more time on the booth today. Going to do some aerial shots of the show around 1pm so keep an eye out for that.

Great event so far and some nice machinery. Went for a walk along the visiting aircraft side and some beautiful looking machinery. Some really elaborate paint schemes and have to compliment a lot of UK owners as they are taking great pride in their machines. Some of the schemes on the Gazelles were awesome.
