737 vs 737-800 freighter version

I wonder if it makes sense to convert 737-800 pax .into freigher
comparing dry lease / ACMI / Charterrates in the freighter market to acmi pax ops
anyone with ideas of current costs / BH rate / monthly BH etc
Nees some expertise on that

Thank you for info :-)

It does apparently make sense, as there are several companies doing it. Including Boeing.

Yep. A company in China doing the conversions, accredited by Boeing IIRC.

BAe Warton have recently taken delivery of a 2001-build 737-800 cargo aircraft (G-SHRS) which was converted at Xiamen in China last year.

the issue is if it makes sense to invest at least USD 4 mio if i can just achieve similar rates as in pax version.

Are ACMI rates / Charterrates significantly higher than in pax business for a 738?

You can send an 85kg person to Barcelona for less than £1 a kilo. How much do you think a 1kg parcel will cost you? Profit margins in freight are astronomical.
