ATPL JAR question

Hello to everyone,

I don't succeed to find the answer to the following questions because I don't have the right manuals, I hope I will get some help:

An aircraft is certified to carry 240 passengers, it is configured to carry 200 and actually has 180 passengers on board. Which is the number of drop-down oxygen masks in this situation and why?

220 if I remember correctly. 200 for the config + 10%

Just taken Aircraft Systems (so I can say with some confidence) that I concur with Ham.

Irrespective of people being carried it is indeed seating configuration +10%

As for why my best guess would be to allow redundancy for drop down masks not working?!?!
