If you think dangerous means that if something goes significantly wrong people will die - then, yes, flying is dangerous.

If you think dangerous means something is highly likely to go wrong then, no, flying is not dangerous.

However, I still maintain that it is the ability and training of the participants that reduces the risk of accidents far more than the nature of aviation.
