Is there a reasonable chance? How?
 

Here is the deal:
I have a German Private Pilot License and a US-Commercial, Multiengine, Instrument, Airplane Land Licence, 1200 hrs. total, my own airplane N2232N, a piper Archer.
I am currently teaching College and consider to quit academia and to pursue a professional pilot career(preferrably Freight or Fire Fighting)
My age: I will turn 50 next year, but feel and look (haha) like 40.

Is this a reasonably good idea, or not?
What would you guy's suggest to do?
