The Centrefix and the FMC

If you are cleared direct to the centrefix for, eg 24R, based on the 757 FMC, would you go to the fix page and input "EGCC" then 236/08 on the brg/dist section to get an idea of where the centrefix is and then fly towards it, or can it be created as an actual waypoint in the FMC route/legs page?

Confusing I know, but I hope someone understands the question :)
Thanks

It can be created as a waypoint in the FMC legs page!!

The chances are it is already a waypoint in the FMC legs, e.g C024R from when you selected the arrival. Simply go direct...

The "Centre Fix" can be different for every runway. It is a position that the FMC predicts, so in theory they may all be different! Therfore using place, bearing and distance will create a point on the extended centerline, but it may not be the centre fix! As Expedite Climb says it should already be in the Legs page, if have you selecd an approach for that runway! :)
