bandit????
how do you know if the banderantee is producing 750 shp????
|
Bandeirante!..........Go on...!
:) ------------------ I'm on my way! |
Load Yourself upto 5700kg on a FLL RWY and if you get off the ground with 1790 set on your torques, you've 750SHP a side :rolleyes
|
... and if you don't, you didn't! :)
|
Having 4 Bandit P2's my witty response would be 'when the paint flakes off the cowlings'!
I did however ask my Chief Pilot...am waiting for response!! |
Frank - smells like an Eagle Airways (NZ) interview question? The AFM quotes 750 SHP up to ISA +16° @100%Nh/1795lb.ft torque (91%/1970lb.ft) in Section 2 Engine Operating Limits.
I hope thus wool help - from a fellow kiwi! |
Hey Jason! It's great when circusair show the TOW as 5699Kg, call rotate and nothing happens! At least when we hit the sea all the evidence is destroyed.

See section 2 (Limitations) of the POH/Flight Manual, figure 2.5 "Take-off and Maximum Continuous Power/Maximum Torque"

If dat Bandit got Seeyeven hunnred and fifta hosses under der hoood, den I'm gonna need to visit maa engin' main man agin.
I might go and crash in on another show, maybe dem DUKE boys with dat big Charger got eight hunnred hosses. Sorry about that I get carried away sometimes. I think you might have a slight problem getting a true 750 Hp at anything near ISA+15 or greater. But the book says we can do it, so then in theory it can. But always be mindfull of density altitude and humidity. Nuf Said!! ------------------ Junior, when we get home, Ima gonna punch yowa momma in da mouth!!! |
