Airports with parallel rwy
Does anybody know about airports with parallel runways and simultaneous approaches? Preferable in the EUR region, and not in USA (due to FAA regulations)
feel free to PM if that's more convenient |
At Schiphol, the Polderbaan and Zwanenburgbaan are parallel and used for simultaneous approaches.
Madrid, RW18L & R ;)
Munich operates both runways with simultaneous approaches.
Under certain conditions Heathrow uses two runways for landing.
Milano Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Brussels, Paris Charles de Gaulle
During rush hour Helsinki airport (FEHK) in finland uses parallel runways and approaches.
Beijing (a little bit far away from europe I know) 3 parallel runways with simultaneous departures and arrivals.
Milano Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Brussels, Paris Charles de Gaulle |
San Francisco, Sydney, Singapore, to add 3 to the list.
Note that Singapore does apply quite healthy longitudinal separation, but SFO can lead to some interesting formation flying exercises! P.S. Don't enter the No Transgression Zone, Pugilistic Animus is lurking there!:ok: Regards, Old Smokey |
Ayrton, you may be right.....but they do in certain circumstances, this apart from the "repair" with a sidestep after APP was unable to ensure a proper separation.
yeah, but MXP has a big problem, the NTZ between the two procedures ins't big enought to assure two independent parallel approaches..
Technically, 25L and 25R at Brussels aren't parallel approaches:8, but they are dependant approaches.
Maybe the question should be about parallel independant approaches? |
Maybe I should refrase. Parallel independant instrument approaches. Even in LVP.
Thanks for all the replies! |
In which case, CDG, AMS.
