Cat II or Cat III

Hi can somebody explain to me why some countries in the Jaa display the actual certicication for CatII or Cat III on your licence and other Jaa states don't. What if you have completed all the training but your Licenceing authority does not require it displayed on your licence ? How do you prove during a ramp inspection that you are qualified as a pilot to carry out these Low visibilty approaches ? Thanks

1. Because they can. I used to have LVP certification in my license but the times have changed.

2. Way it works for me: the flightcrew training department issues A4 sized sheet named "All weather operations certificate of competence" which clearly states the minima one is entitled to operate to. It is valid as long as OPC is valid - which can be checked in the license itself.
