Difference Signalman/Marshaller?
Hallo everybody!
I was wondering if somebody could explain the difference between a signalman and a marshaller. First I thought there was none at all, then I saw that the ICAO makes one. In note 6 to ICAO Annex 2, Appendix 1, 5.1 it says "References to the signalman may also be read to refer to marshaller". Best regards hvogt |
May be i am being stupid but it seems to me from that quote that ICAO is saying that the words are interchangable.

>the person who stands under a wingtip to make sure there is clearance
That would be a "wingwalker" in ICAO terminology. |
> ICAO is saying that the words are interchangable
Indeed, but only in the given context. |
"That would be a "wingwalker" in ICAO terminology."
I thought that was someone who stood on top of a Boeing Stearman's wing and waved at the crowds.........;) |
