Eletronic Logbook help
 

I wanted to back up my JAA paper logbooks with an eletronic one.
I started the search on the net and found very few products.
Among them the best so far being "safelog".
Anyone using it for a quite a while has found any problem with it.
It just looks like if it slowing down the pc quite a while.
Anyone can suggest other,and cheaper products that work fine?

Been using Logbook 2 from www.fliteware.co.uk , JAA format printing, easy to use and proffesional.

The UK CAA accepted it when i applied for my ATPL.

Try a trial version of Skylog at www.skylogservices.co.uk.
This is software that downloads onto your computer. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. You can phone a Human if you need help, or send them an e-mail which is quickly responded to. Data can be easily backed-up.
Very useful if you are a Commercial Pilot and need to check your Duty Hours totals. Initial cost is about GBP59 if you like it after the trial.

I have trialled mosy of them, and the best one I've found is www.logbookpro.com

Its got all the bells and whistles ...

I use excel spreadsheet to keep a check on flying and duty times, works well and most computers have it anyway.

I Have skylogpro.

I have used it since it first came out, I have all my flights on it now going back to 1982 around 5000 sectors and it works quickly.

I also used it to renew my ATPL the with UK CAA.

safelog is great they are constantly updating and adding to the software :ok:

Browser based, but didn't find the data entry formats easy to master. 3 month's free trial however.

I'd give a big thumbs up to www.pilotlog.co.uk been using it for a year now. It's web based to easily accessible from any computer. If you get your roster emailed, it'll even read that and add it to the log as provisional flights. All you have to do then is fill in the reg and the times.
