Question re A380 thrust reverse

Switches on anorak mode...

Just watching Wings, a show about A380 development.

They showed the final high-speed RTO test and when reverse was applied, it looked like only 2 and 3 had reverse doors open; cowls 1 and 4 didn't move.

Is that right? Is reverse only on 2 and 3?

I think I've read that only 2 & 3 are fitted with reversers, because 1 & 4 are going to be outside, or too close to outside, sealed area at some/many locations.

I had read somewhere inboards only to save weight.

Since the a/c is soooooo wide, outer reversers are eliminated to avoid kicking up and ingesting FOD off the edges of the taxi- and runways.
