Livery of Ex-Buzz 73's
I've noticed that Buzz' 73's have now lost their Buzz paintwork and have now got part of CO's livery instead (you can see part of the CO Globe on the tail). It looks as though Buzz's livery has simply been 'peeled' off. Can this really happen?
Can a livery simply be 'stuck' on for short periods? |
The intention was to have all the a/c in the buzz yellow and purple scheme. However with the takeover by Ryanair, the intention is to rebrand all of them in Ryanair colours. At least one (G-BZZG) is still in unbranded CO colours. G-BZZJ that has just the yellow body colour and no logo's was, at a guess, probably halfway through being painted when the decision came to leave them as is.

To answer the last part of your question..........Yes. Most liveries these days are a painted base colour or two, with the plimsoll lines & logos etc. just stuck on. A good example is bmi's Airbus Fleet where the 'Star Alliance' company logos down the sides are all transfers, and can be removed overnight. They are referred to as the 'Washing Line' or 'Beermats' ;) moley |
